Common questions

Don't see your question? Call us — we'd rather give you a straight answer than have you guess.

Do you install the appliance, modify the cabinet, or both?

Both. We install the appliance and, when the opening needs work, do the cabinet carpentry on the same visit. That's the whole idea — one accountable crew instead of an installer and a carpenter who blame each other.

How do I know if my cabinet needs to be modified?

Usually you won't until it's measured against the appliance spec. Send us the model number (or spec sheet) and a couple of photos of the opening, and we'll tell you whether it drops in clean or needs cabinet work before you buy or schedule delivery.

How do I book a fit check?

Call us at (650) 391-0433 or use our booking link to request a fit check. Send your appliance model and a couple of photos of the space, and we'll get you scheduled.

What should I send when I request a fit check?

The appliance make and model (or the installation spec sheet), and 2–4 photos of the opening and the surrounding cabinets. If you know them, the opening width, height, and depth help us give you a faster, more accurate answer.

Do you work on high-end and panel-ready appliances?

Yes — it's a large part of what we do. Sub-Zero, Wolf, Thermador, Miele, Bosch, JennAir, and similar panel-ready and built-in appliances, where exact reveals and panel alignment matter most. We also handle everyday installs on standard appliances.

Will modifying the cabinet damage or devalue my kitchen?

Done correctly, it's the opposite — the goal is an appliance that looks built-in and intentional. We make the smallest change that solves the fit, protect every surface, and seal raw edges so the modification is invisible once the appliance is set.

Can you handle the appliance for a kitchen remodel?

Yes. We can come in when appliances need to be set and fitted to finished or near-finished cabinetry and work cleanly alongside your other trades.

Do you remove and haul away the old appliance?

We can disconnect and pull the old unit as part of the install. Whether we haul it away depends on the appliance and your situation — mention it when you book and we'll sort it out.

How is pricing handled?

After a fit check we give you a clear scope and price for the install and any cabinet work, so there are no install-day surprises. The amount of carpentry needed is the main thing that moves the price.

How do you protect my floors and finished cabinets?

Floors get moving blankets and ram board; cabinet faces, stiles, and stone edges get taped off; and any cutting is done with a vacuum staged at the blade for dust control. We clean up and haul packaging when we're done.

What areas do you serve?

We serve the South Bay & Peninsula — San Jose and the South Bay across the Peninsula and Silicon Valley. If you're not sure you're in range, just call with your city.

My appliance is already delivered and it doesn't fit. Can you still help?

Yes — that's a common call. We can assess the opening and the appliance and, in most cases, modify the cabinet so it fits clean rather than sending you back to return the unit.
